Yogi

I finished playing Yogi Bear on SNES the other day but didn't get around to notifying all of you. Yep, shame on me. Well, I'm going to the gym tonight. See ya all.

SNES

I managed to finish Kirby Super Star today. I had to resort to SNES games when the lecture audio file I was up to was to soft to hear on my laptop. *Sigh*. I could have been doing something productive but alas, the limitations of my soundcard...

So I've now been trying to play Asterix (also on the SNES) and it's totally annoying me. Not because it's a hard game but because they expect the character to jump up to a ledge that is way too high. It's so annoying because I encountered the same problem a bit earlier in the game, and it was sheer luck that I jumped high enough and far enough. Maybe I will look on the net for some clues as to how to make Asterix jump really high. Maybe there is a special combination of buttons. *Shrug*. I've tried everything already, so I don't know.

Today's Adventure

Today I was up nice and early to hand in my Accounting assignment. Well I was up at 9am. After doing that I ventured to the dentist to book an appointment, costing me $60 in advance, with the warning that I will have to pay another $60 for a second treatment. *sigh*. Then upstairs to the doctor's I travelled. Done. Three tasks out of the way so far. Then at Fantastic Furniture I bought another clothes rack to hang my clothes on (I don't have a wardrobe in my room) because the lack of hanging space was starting to frustrate me.

I drove to Steve's shop and bought 3 tops costing me only $30 in total. I would include a picture of them but the pictures taken from my webcam suck, and I don't want you to get the wrong idea about my newly acquired tops. After finally buying myself some clothes and posting some mail for Steve, I got myself two custard scrolls from Baker's Delight. I just finished eating one and the other I will save for tomorrow. Finally, I went to the supermarket and got some more clothes hangers.

So now I am at home, I cleaned my room and sorted out all my clothes, did some washing and dusting, and sat down to do homework. But as you can tell, that last part keeps getting postponed...

Photos from QLD and Lorne

Thanks to some persuasion from my boyfriend (because he thinks I'm such a wonderful photographer...given the crappy camera I have to work with and the decrease in quality of these photos due to decreasing the size of them for the internet, I'd have to agree), I've decided to include a few photos that I took a while ago whilst in Lorne and Queensland.

The next three photos are of various waterfalls we saw in Lorne, David took the second photo as you may have realised because I am in the picture, and the forth is a couple of the Twelve Apostles.

The next two photos were taken in Queensland. The first is of the seal show at Seaworld, and the second is me at a beach on the Gold Coast.

Computer Games

I've added a new "section" to my blog. In the sidebar I now have a list of computer games I am currently playing and ones I have recently finished playing. So as it stands, I have recently finished playing Bubsy 1 and 2, and have moved on to Asterix and Kirby Super Star. All of which are on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES).

Gym, Dye and a Test.

Jess and I have decided to sign up at our local gym and tonight I have my health check for the membership. Apparently it involves someone monitoring my stats as I use an exercise bike for a while. Fun. The person doing the monitoring will then set up a program that I will use.

Apart from using the gym, the membership includes entry to all aerobics classes, the pool, pool classes, and the spa and sauna. We've made an effort so far to go to "AquaMoves" a water aerobics class two times a week, and "Body Balance" once a week so far. Body Balance is a combination of tai chi, yoga and pilates.

Tonight after my health check, we are going to do the T.H.T. class. This stands for Tummies, Hips and Thighs. So we'll try that whilst waiting for the water aerobics class to start. Hopefully it won't be too strenuous.

Last night at 10:30pm I dyed my hair. I was sick of the red shade I had in there, so I dyed it back to blue-black. And I have to say, I think it looks better. Mainly because this is the colour that I keep going back too. It's more me.

Tomorrow I have a test for Introduction to Quantitative Analysis. Being worth a whole 3% it doesn't really get me motivated.

Healesville

Sorry it's taken so long for me to post another entry, but I was waiting for my film to get developed so I could include some photos from my recent trip to Healesville.

It was Tuesday the 27th of September when my boyfriend and I set out to Healesville. We arrived at
Badger Creek Caravan Park at 2pm, got the keys to our cabin and moved in. Well sort of anyway. I was not too happy with the room and went to the reception to book a different cabin for Wednesday and Thursday night. The new cabin was very good, all new and white.

So after we had unpacked we travelled to Marysville, where after stopping at the bakery we made our way to Bruno's Sculpture Garden. It was really good to look at the 'creations' Bruno had made. Here are some photos of some of my favourite sculptures.

I didn't actually take this next photo, but this is my very favourite sculpture at Bruno's.

After Bruno's we went to Steavensons Falls which is a 84 metre high waterfall. The photos I took didn't turn out very well and did an injustice to the actual size of the waterfall, so I have added a picture of it from the web.

On Wednesday the 28th of September we went to Hedgend Maze. The entry fee for the place included the mazes, mini-golf, frisbee golf and various other games. We did the maze in record time...well we only did it once, so it was our record anyway, then failed doing the hardest section of the rainbow maze. Although we could have actually solved it if I had patience. We tried our hand at the 18-hole mini-golf course which I won. It than started to drizzle, so we went inside and tried to solve a puzzle. One of the many 'puzzle' games that were available. When the rain had stopped we had a go at frisbee golf. Of the 18-holes we did about 9 before we were exhausted from all the running around after our rebel frisbees.

The next day we went to Silvan to go to the
Tesselaar Tulip Festival. Tulips are my favourite flower so naturally it was on my list of things to do. There were so many tulips! I got myself some Dutch Poffertjes with jam and cream. I also ended up buying a pot of tulips. It was suppose to contain 3 but it surprised me when a forth tulip started to appear. Unfortunately, I have not finished the film with the photo of my tulips on it, so until I do you will have to make do without the pictures. In the mean time, here's a photo of a tulip for those of you who don't know what they look like.

After the Tulip Festival we made our way up Mt Dandenong to SkyHigh. It is a lookout up the top of the mountain that has the best view of Victoria, well that is it would have been the best view if it hadn't looked so dull and dreary around the city.

On Friday we packed up our cabin and set off for Healesville Sanctuary at 10:00am. Whilst there I saw this little wombat, just 7-8 months old (I can't remember which), it was so cute and it fell over. Aw. Cute, I know. After seeing the many other animals at the park we went back to Melbourne where we were destined to start back at uni.
